Hey everyone, I'm looking for bass tabs to "Up on Cripple Creek" by The Band. Thanks in advance!
The last two bands I played did this song. Its quite easy. I have it somewhere in my stack of music. I will try and dig it out and send it if you want it.
i'll take it
i find the band to be complex in its simplicity......you gotta be a really tight band to sound that loose.....
it's a-d-a-d-e, with the transitions to each note a 1/2 step walk up (as in Ab > A....Db > D)
then the chorus (same deal)
a-d-e-g (take up to the g on the a, then the low G on the E string...then the funky clav part comes in...)
then the a-whoo-hooo....
it's all in the feel. Use your ears. Play along. Super easy.
I would not mind getting a copy, thanks.
That would be great!
would be highly appreciated if you sent it over this way as well. thanks!
If you are e-mailing these I would greatly appreciate it.
My band is working this up - the bass part is pretty straightforward - the harder part is getting into a good groove with the drummer.
It is all in the feel, and it is simple... especially if you've got a drummer like Levon! This is a cool piece of instruction/history on this song:

Can you send me also../ Tim
Just a suggestion...
Why not post it to a download site so everyone can get access to it. It would make it easier for us and for you.
I'd also like a copy. I've got it down, for the most part, but I'd like to get the chorus a little tighter. Thank you.
There's a F#min right before the G on the walk up...
I know that part. I need help with the walk lines in the chorus. Thank you very much, though.
If anybody got the tab please send it to me too. Thanks!
Shovelbone, if you do dig it up I'd really appreciate a copy. Thanks!
Couldn't agree more. It's like a jug saw puzzle....all these very simple parts fitting together just right. Proves how complex "simple" can be when done right.
