"Up On Cripple Creek" by The Band

it's a-d-a-d-e, with the transitions to each note a 1/2 step walk up (as in Ab > A....Db > D)

then the chorus (same deal)

a-d-e-g (take up to the g on the a, then the low G on the E string...then the funky clav part comes in...)
then the a-whoo-hooo....

a-d.....a-d....a-d

it's all in the feel. Use your ears. Play along. Super easy.

+1

My band is working this up - the bass part is pretty straightforward - the harder part is getting into a good groove with the drummer.
