question first. i live in a townhouse. if i set my amp (old 60w roland cube) on a block of wood or something so it's off the floor, will that significantly reduce the sound that is transmitted through the walls?? if not, any suggestions??
IF you're in LA on june 9th, the sunnie paxson band featuring cynthia calhoun will be performing (jazz) at vitello's in studio city. sunnie has toured with stanley and is signed to his label. cynthia calhoun has toured/recorded with steely dan, al jarreau, and others. jimmy paxson on drums, has toured with stevie nicks, robben ford, alanis morissette, and others. mike valerio on bass has done too much to write about.
i know cynthia and sunnie. check out their FB pages and /or websites. they're sort of a rarity--females musicians creating music without any drama onstage or off.
