Update on my Ernie Ball Group III's

The problem is the E string is too long (37"), causing the unrapped portion to wrap around the tuning post.

This is not necessarily a serious issue as most flats can wrap around the post without breaking. La Bella is the only company who explicitly warns against the unsilked part of their flats wrapping around the post.

Here's a pic of the GHS Precision Flats (38" winding) on my P bass...
