Upgrade MojoTone to Mercury Magnetics?

I'm with @NKBassman - more info is needed to even speak generally. What specific Mojo tone driver? Upgrading to what specific Mercury Magnetics driver? In what application? Are we even talking about bass drivers? How do you know if what you're talking about even IS an upgrade, or is that just a presumption based relative cost?

Or is what you're trying to ask is whether the Mercury Magnetics brand just makes better drivers overall?

You didn't ask anything! One poster above thought you were talking about drivers (which even then is too vague for a meaningful answer) and you were talking about chokes.

2. No way to tell without extensive stress testing and destruction of several samples of each,

MM are overpriced but if you buy enough over time, the price becomes more reasonable. I feel that their Fender type 5E3 output transformer wins out over others including the Mojotone but the differences are subtle. Smooth around the edges. If you are chasing tone, it matters. Many wouldn’t appreciate the differences.

You also have to know how to test an audio transformer. Not just with test equipment but by listening in an amp. You have to use instrument signals that push the envelope to it’s limits and beyond. It’s only money, buy one of each and experiment.

Would a MM bowl over a Mojotone? No. Given the choice, I go with MM.
