upgrading my MIM active jazz bass

i have a 2006 MIM delixe active jazz bass. i run it through a markbass little mark head with a ampeg SVT 410 HLF cab. i just replaced the bridge with a badass 2. But i am still not getting the low end i want. i am happy with the tone on all my strings but my E string. Thinking about changing the pickups but not sure. what do you guys think?

same bass (except mine is 2008 model) and the exact same problem. Loved the tone except the E string sounded very hollow. couldn't cut it.

changed out the pups. the stockies sucked......and the bass has gone from one of my least favourite to a beast.

got Dimarzio Model J. some hot pups!

turn up the low and mid on the pre, and even highs or even roll them back a touch, and POW.

i can highly recommend this mod

i put a badass II on it and used ernie ball slinkys. i think the e string was .110, i think. so yes i did. still not what i wanted though. i am thinking about getting a new bass now. nice tax return.
