You're first step is figuring out if you want a fretted or a fretless. Go from there.

Hell,I'd switch back & forth,and go by what mood yer in at the time. Just don't strip the neck screws,though.

It's weird because I'll have the fretless neck in, and it sounds amazing (being mahogany and all) but I never play it. I play it much more when there's a fretted neck in it
