USA Fender Jazz Elite

Does anyone know if there were any changes between 2016/2017/2018 for the American Elite Jazz bass (4 string)? Only difference I can find are finish options - the Fender website does not offer Tobacco Sunburst, some are still available as NOS from internet sellers. Anything else different?
Oh that's good to know...i heard the ebony fretboard was only avail in 2018...the previous were RW or maple. Maybe the sales guy was wrong (quite likely).
Actually I believe they did began switching over to ebony in 2017 so some of the 2016 Elite's have rosewood options. By the time I started looking at them in 2017 the olympic white was already unavailable and rosewood wasn't offered any longer (yet they kept rosewood on the pro version) but the build and electronics are all the same. I also think they had a strap they used to send along with the case too but they quit doing that by 2018.

The switch to ebony fretboard was announced around summer NAMM along with the new colors. Ebony board and Ocean Turquoise made me pull the trigger.
I don't think so. I've used 8 Fiat cars since 1982 with no problems but the usual maintenance. Here in Italy we are ok with Fiat as with other european brands
You don't know so much about Italy.
Best of our production particularly wine, oil, pasta and any other our typical foodstuffs are for the export. Typical is the case of wine. And the 1st class market for this type of goods are USA, where Italy is well appreciated. Have I speak about Ferrari and Lamborghini? I don't know about cheap cars but I suspect that FIAT, now FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, doesn't make this kind of mistake, or your market doesn't want a little car, a kind of car where Fiat is very good. I have a Fiat Panda a little car, very useful for the kind of streets here in beautiful Liguria.
In musical instruments market I think that Fender, Gibson and the other usual suspects tend to consider Italy a very low class market. Maybe this is right, due to the probably low sales volume, but it's a fact that if I want a fender Jazz custom shop (I've owned 3) the choice is very limited in colors and mainly in number of instruments to check to choose the best for me. France UK and Germany are in another league. Thomann has a very good inventory of Fender Custom Shop basses.
Italy is a one of a kind country. A little bit difficult to understand.

I made a joke referencing a car brand that had earned a relatively poor reputation for quality. That is all. It wasn’t a referendum on my knowledge Italia.
I replied to you with my esperience with that’s brand. The statement “you don’t know much about Italy” altough a bit sour, Excuse me for that, was in reply to your B-stock hypotesis. Rest assure that our best production goes to States, unfortunately for us. I wish Fender would make same with its basses that sells here. A legend? Who knows? Ciao
