So I went in store at guitar center to buy a bass pod xt live floor multi effects pedal. The guy called up asked condition everything was good i payed and left. this morning i get an email that the item i ordered was misrepresented and was actually the guitar version.

So no big deal I figured I would just call and get a refund. These idiots decided to ship the item anyway so I can't get my refund until I receive it and bring it back to return it.

My big question is when it comes to a multi effects board is there really a difference between the guitar and bass versions. If there isn't a difference i may just use the guitar one.

My smaller question is Why the hell ship the wrong thing with out getting in contact with the buyer.

Can't say I've tried this exact product, but it would definitely be worth trying before sending back. It seems likely that there'll be no difference in low end loss, but maybe this version has different particular effects on it that you care about?

when you go in the store pissed off they will get of their arses and actually help you. they called the other store to find out it was in the process of being loaded out. they took it off the truck and refunded the full amount its a shame that I had to go in and ask for a manager.

The X3 is discontinued also isn't it? I don't think they make anything specific for bass now, not even any bass amp models on the HD series last time I checked, but the guitar units are flexible enough so that you can blend parallel chains to get good results. E.g. get a guitar distortion in parallel with a clean compressed lowpassed signal, get the balance right and it will sound awesome - there are plenty of Youtube demos showing how that back this up.
