Used 215 cab options on a budget.

I'd really like to venture into the 215 cab arena and primarily I'm on a $500 max budget. I have been using tens ( 210,410,810) for the the whole time I've been playing ( 27 years) until last year when I scored an BA115 Ampeg combo super cheap. I love the 15" speaker and want to put 215's under my 300w tube head.

Basically what I see on the used market is : fender, Ampeg, and peavey being the most readily available cabinets, at decent prices.
Besides blown drivers, what do I need to look for? I just don't have the knowledge base on 215 cabs to make the best decision, as I will have to, more than likely buy before I can try.

Fender has made 215 cabs forever and quite frankly I don't want a cab that's better suited for guitar or in any case just plain a bad cab. Then there is the sunn factor, pro series, and more.

Peavey is the same thing. Solid yes. Junk? I doubt it, just what is the best 215 peavey cab? Yes they are heavy! So I've heard, BW equipped is desired.

Ampeg? I know absolutely nothing here outside of I've owned a 810 and a 410-115 monster cab that both sounded great way back with the GK 400 RB amp I was using up till the early '90s.

I'd love to find a Mesa Boogie 215 power house as I hear they are killer and solid. Just rare, I guess.

I've seen some older GK 215 cabs out there, but, like the others they do have some crap.

Out of the three brands, which would be the best suited for rock, blues, funk, R&B, reggae, and improve style music and why? Weight not withstanding, is not an issue. However size is. I don't want 215's in an 810 box.

I played a gig Friday night on my 210 cab with the tube amp and where it sounded good, I had to crank the amp to get the sound to fill out. I was being lazy and didn't feel like dragging 2 cabs out. Will the 215 supply the headroom and thump I am looking for.......Or am I just looking for a good 810 cab to fill my sonic needs?

I primarily use a PBass with rounds. Depending on the band and style I play finger style and with a pick.

The biggest thing out of all this is, that I will be selling off my beloved amp to fund this. So I definitely do not want to get stuck with a dog that will send me into a manic depression of sorts, if that makes any sense?

Thanks in advance for your help and experience in this area of speaker cabs.
