Used Acoustic Amp

So i saw a used acoustic amp for fifty dollars that looks like it may have been thrown up on etc.. i didnt try it out but will before i buy it. What is the likelihood of it playing great at the store and then breaking within a year?

Sounds like a poor bet. Maybe spend some more time looking and aim a little higher... You can actually get a clean, functional amp off CL for $50. Just don't expect to be able to gig with loud guitars and a drummer.
