Used my MTD 535 live for the first time...

Last Sunday I played for a dear friend of mine at a church where he leads worship. So I thought, eh... I'll play the MTD (Like how nonchalant that was?) The 535 is a macassar ebony top, with an ash body, ash neck, and maple fingerboard. Well, at first I was struggling to get a tone I was happy with (it had all good tones, I was just trying to get one I heard in my head.) I finally found it (user error I assure you). Well when everything dialed in I was BLOWN AWAY. It was more of a southern rock gig, and I was taking a chance with it going with the MTD vs. my gibson triumph. But I could not be happier. The bass sat perfectly in the mix. I just love it, just wanted to share

sounds like a good time. i always seem to have a hard time finding the right sound in church too. i guess its because of the large hall and all the sound just kind of bounces around. but, i recently bought a wick corvette, and let me tell you, a few turns of a knob, and im there. out band never had a bassist before, and it really fills out the sound and the tone i use in the church setting really excentuates the rest of the band, and myself.
