Using 2 different heads with one cab

Lets say I have 2 bass heads - one for clean bass and the other for dirty bass.

What would be the best way to set it up to use with one cab?

Would something like an A/B switch be enough?

What if I want to blend the signals from both heads?

Would getting a second cab work best if I wanna run 2 different heads?

Plug 2 amps into one cabinet and you are going to say goodbye to one if not both of your amps. I had this happen by accident in my early days and it did quite a lot of damage to my Fender Bassman 135.

So then that would rule out the 2 heads/1 cab option.

I think Radial makes a box that does that very thing but no blending. Without some kind of buffering and isolation transformers and dummy loads, its an impossible task

Get an AB box and another cab and your good to go bro

The Radial Headbone is designed to do this. Apparently it's not unusual for the guitar boys to do stuff like that.
