Using a different pickup with EMG Solderless wiring?

I want a hotter P pickup than my GZR, but I've sort of got a setup where I can't just pull the whole harness and pots out due to some customization.

If I replace the pickup alone with another brand, can the EMG wiring be adapted easily?

You could splice an EMG quick connector to the wires of your new pickup.

Hmmm, can you get those separately? if I were to sell the GZR for instance I wouldn't want to cut it off there.

I did the opposite. I cut and modified the solderless connectors of the GZR P to fit my existing wiring.

I suppose it is very possible, you just have to be skillful enough.

EMG does sell the cables separately:

But they're fairly standard connectors and you can get compatible items elsewhere (i.e. electronics parts suppliers, RC hobby shops, etc).

I used EMG solderless connectors, including their 3-position switch, with my DiMarzio Model PJ's in my fretless parts bass. Just have to solder the connectors to the non-emg pickup wires.
