Using a Piezo pickup equipped A/E bass guitar for pop/rock

I have two wonderful short scale basses both of which have piezo pickups as I play primarily acoustic music. I have expanded my playing to pop and rock and wonder what is the best way to get different sounds from my piezo pickup basses. As you can see in my signature, I have two inexpensive mag basses but I am comfortable with my acoustic/electrics (which are also much better basses) and would rather not grow the herd if possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
