Although I play bass in the band that I'm in, there are currently a few songs in our live set that require me to play guitar as backup.
I have been using a Gretsch 6152 Compact Tremelo Reverb as my live amp and so far its been great. The 6152 is a small-ish Gretsch amp and is 10 watts, full tube (1x6v6, 1x5y3, 4x12ax7). I haven't checked the date on the thing but it was built sometime in the 50's and 60's.
It gets mic'd with an sm57 and sounds great, but I tend to run it wide open (both volume and tone dimed). What kind of effect might will show after show of this use have on the little Gretsch? Anything I should seriously worry about?
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, since its guitar amp related...
