So next weekend I have a fly in show in Las Vegas, and am bringing my pedal board which consists of a DARKGLASS B7K into a SANS AMP Bddi. The provided back line is an AMPEG CLASSIC, which I have very little experience with. Normally I run my preamps into the effects return of my GK head, which stills allows me to use the GK MASTER volume. This allows me to adjust my stage volume without affecting the DI signal coming out of the SANS AMP. My question is, if I run my stuff into the ampeg classic power amp IN, will the heads volume knob still work, or will I only have control of volume of the SANS AMP level knob? Like I said , I have limited experience with this head, and won’t have much time to figure it out at the show. Thanks in advance for the info.

The Effects Loop is Between the Pre Amp and Power Amp. After the Master.

Notice the Master on the left side of the diagram.

Start with the green signal which is coming off the last tube in the preamp. First it goes to the Effects loop. The Effects Return is switching. So if you insert a plug into the Return it kills the signal coming from the preamp.

I used red after Effects Loop. The red signal goes back to the preamp and splits into two paths that immediately loop back to the power amp. I turned the signal going out pin 9 orange. This goes to the DI. I turned the signal going out pin 12 blue. This is the signal that will drive the power amp. The Pre Out and Power Amp In are also essentially a effects loop. The Power Amp in is switching just like the Effects Return.
