Double Bass Using solo strings for solo playing

So I did a search on solo strings and found a lot of info on tuning solo strings down to get less tension for you jazzers out there, but I'm looking for some comparisons for using them tuned up classically. I am pretty much in between Spirocores and Bel Cantos solo strings. I'm leaning towards the spiros because I think they are going to have a brighter and louder sound. maybe? :hiding: I think the BCs will bow easier but I'm not sure. The sound I am looking for isn't like what I want for my orchestra tone. I'm looking for a singing, brighter sound with a good dynamic response in the upper register. Just let me know what your opinions are. Thanks in advance :hyper:
PS Keep practicing :bassist:

thanks for the response. Me and my teacher decided that the spiros will be best for my "solo" sound. Edicson ruiz played a part in it too. I did even more research and I found him. I really liked his sound. When my spiros come in I'll try and give a good review for all you tb'ers that wanted to know the answer too. I also got a gig these next two weekends playin the musical cabaret, so I can comment on them tuned down as well. Wish me luck :hyper:
