Interesting choice, I have that cab. Opinions?

I like it. I've run a few different heads through this cab, and they have all sounded good. It's warmer than the HyDrive 410 that I used to have (same cabinet, just different speakers), and the tweeter allows me to add a little high-end if needed. It has a nice, full sound that compliments the V4B nicely, imo. I also like it better than the AK115 cab that I used to own.

I use mine with a Sunn 2x15 (JBL speakers). At first I ran with an ampeg 4x10 classic, but my tone lacked " something" (mids probably...)

Also, lately i've ditched the V4-B for a recently acquired Sunn 2000s, but I keep the V4B if I even need a "cleaner" tone.

I run my v4b reissue through a swr goliath sr. Im on the lookout for a cheap ampeg 8x10 though

1976 V-4B 2x15 Folded horn or 1975 B-40 4x10 and I tried it through the V-6B. Different barking tone than the V-4B cab. Same speaker setup though.

By comparison, the V4B is really "clean". I couldn't get an overdriven sound that I liked with the V4B and the 2x15, go figures...

I gigged a V4B with a Sunn 200s w/ 2 JBL D140s for 15 years! Even though it was only 100 watts, I never felt under powered. Jim

I am really excited, as I just picked up a new v4-b. My SLM cl/pro-2 are a bit too heavy for certain gigs and this one I hope I'll be happy with... . As far as cabs, I don't know, but I'm going to first try it with the hlf cab... .
