Vacation in jeopardy

My wife, her daughter and the two grandsons drove to Destin FL on Thursday. It's s 10 hour drive. I drove down yesterday. We're staying in a condo until Monday.
The plan was my son-in-law coming down on Monday with their dog because they're renting a house for the week.
This afternoon the rental company called and said the people who signed up to rent their home canceled their contract so our stay was canceled. We're probably out of luck because it's prime season and nothing is available. We may end up heading home on Monday.
Bummer!

Did you look for vacation rentals on or near St. George Island? It looks like Airbnb and similar sites have last minute rentals.
I live in Tallahassee, and that area is very beautiful.
