It would have to be ancient to not support bluetooth.
Not really... lot of people own current PCs that don't include a bluetooth adaptor. Why do you think Logitec provides so many keyboard dongles for their wireless keyboards and mice? Even so, it doesn't really matter - he has what he has, so an option is probably better than a critique.

Thanks for the replies. I have about a 10 year old Lenovo pc. I don't see anything on its front panel to indicate Bluetooth.

That's likely a business class PC. If it does have bluetooth, it may only support keyboard and mouse with it - but it's quite likely it doesn't have bluetooth at all.

I have tonnes of recent business-class PCs in my office that came without Bluetooth - It's a security thing, for the most part, but it can also interfere with some in-office older Wifi gear.

You're right - there are solutions here and that's the important part.
