As some of you may have seen from my last thread. I'm starting to think about (and save/plan for) my next bass. I've been recommended to Upton and have read many positive reviews about the shop. I have an email out to them about financing for Canadian customers.
What I would like to ask the TB community is if there are any bassists in the Greater Vancouver Area, or reasonably close (Vancouver Island?) who owns an Upton who wouldn't mind letting me come by to check it out, and get a feel for the brand?
I ask because I'm nervous about the idea of ordering a bass without playing it. As well a trip to the Upton barn to try out models is a pretty big investment for me.
I would be happy to bring beer, coffee, a snack, a little $, to anyone open to the idea. As well as my eternal gratitude
