Here's my new Venn jazz ultra.

4 string
Alder Jazz body ( 4.4 lbs)
Maple neck, RW fretboard
graphite reinforced neck
21 frets, #6125 fretwire
0.800' thickness
tele headstock
Hipshot b-style bridge(brass)
hipshot ul tuners
Nordstrand NJ4 pickups
Aguilar OBP-2 preamp
nitrocellulose finish

I need to decide the color in the following days, probably trans color or mary kay white with pearloid or tortoise pickguard..

the tele headstock, UL tuners and brass bridge were chosen to avoid neck dive as much as possible¸, maybe completely...

I will post pictures of the progress...

IMO, the trans-white just oozes class. I'm not a big fan of black finishes and Jake, my cat, just threw up a big orange hairball so scratch that off the list, too.

I personally just like the look of black+tort, particularly with a dark FB like rosewood or ebony. Blasphemous I'm sure, when also offered with the other transparent finishes but I just like the simple class of Black+Tort.

And you silly Northerners, we are just barely past freezing here in the sun belt. No snow though. Don't you just love that global warming?

Coldest I've ever been is Old Montreal in mid-December. The wind whips down thru the narrow streets like nobody's business. My wife insisted we take a horse 'n carriage ride which didn't help the situation.

I like that look.
And I’m thinking of doing my project jazz in orange/pearl.
