Ventura and Logic Pro not playing nice... Please help

Hello all, on Thursday after recording some tracks for my band at home I updated my laptop to Ventura thinking nothing of it. Today, I tried logging back on to record some more but Logic was not opening. I looked online and this apparently is an issue whenever you update to the newest OS, however it seems like Ventura has been out for months.

I use a 2017 MacBook Pro, running on Ventura 13.2.1

My Logic is version 10.7.7

Whenever I click on Logic to open, the card that displays on first click shows but it never goes any farther than that. Then it mentions that there are Incompatible Units found, and then I get the spinning beachball and it stays that way.

Does anyone have any way to help? This has not happened before on any other updates I've done in the past. I use the Amepg SVT suite on my system when I record and the rest of my band doesnt. Any advice would be great.

Zero issues with Logic and Ventura on my system. Be sure your version of Logic is fully up to date. You can also check for OS compliance with your various third party plugin developers. If any of them aren’t Ventura compatible then just move the AU to an archive folder that Logic doesn’t automatically scan with its plugin manager, and even move them back, the updated version, once the developer makes them Ventura compliant.

you have a time machine backup done before the os upgrade, right?

if not, you've learnt the hard way, you should always do it, in case, you'd want to rollback. yeah, that happens. Apple supports last 3 major macOS versions, so you're good running any of them that works for you.

Meant to post here.. So my laptop is really only used for music and all my music is all saved on an XHD. So, I went in and saved all other loose odds and ends on the XHD and did a full factory reset on my laptop. Once I did that, I re-downloaded Logic and SVT suite, and lo and behold everything worked fine. So problem solved! But definitely a mistake I won't make again lol. Thank you all for the suggestions and I will definitely think twice before ever considering upgrading in the guture
