Has anyone seen a verdigris pick guard before? I think it would look pretty sweet on a cream finished bass.

Verdigris Pickguard - Does One Exist?

If you mean this kind of effect......that would be very cool!
You could buy one these and leave it outside for a year, or use one of the chemical oxidizers that will verdigris copper in a couple hours.

Now that's what I'm talking about. I think statue of liberty green might look pretty awesome as well.
Now that i think about it, matching verdigris fretboard inlays would be the green icing on the cake.
I know of a company that makes vintage style lighting (think: Arts & Crafts/Craftsman/Greene & Greene style lighting). One of their finishes is a verdigris "live" finish, in that it will continue to patina over time.
Don't know if they would take on non-lighting oriented custom projects, though. We have quite a few of their lighting products in our home. Top quality stuff.

When they say "finish" are they saying the have a metal based paint type finish that will get that verdigris patina, or are they saying they wrap their fixtures with some type of copper foil that gets that patina over time?
Arroyo Craftsman do it the right way. They truly are craftsmen, it's not just part of their name.
Again, I don't know whether they would do some as custom as making a pickguard, but it never hurts to ask.
A year won't do it. My porch roof is 25+ years old and is dark brown. I might get a verdigris patina going in anther decade or so.
Vinegar/salt/water/ammonia.... That'll work on copper nicely.
We've had a few clients use their lights, I love this one, but can't afford the (4) I'd need on the front of my house. Beautiful stuff, their patination is superb.

Yes, they are not inexpensive, given their quality, and that they are MIA. Go for it, you only live once or twice.
We have seven here, from three different series, in their Bronze (BZ) finish.

Now that our sun porch project back on track, I am looking for another of their's for the ceiling.
Whatever the OP ends up with, I'd recommend clear coating it to protect it from handling it, over time.
