Very portable 2 inputs/1 headphone output "mixer"?

Yes, there needs to be some sort of pedal or “mixer”…. Hence my suggestion of the Darkglass AO Photon. I’m clearly recommending to *not* use a traditional mixer (Mackie VLZ, etc).
Ah. Gotcha... it was lost in the context for me.

However a $75 mixer vs. a $600 pedal makes it easy to ignore the gain part for many end users.

Haha. Yup. Just giving options. As a guy who has been practicing with headphones for about 20 years, I can tell you that this is the best “practice rig” that I have ever used. I run it into a Crown XLS1502 and use it as my preamp live as well. This pedal literally does everything I need.

Thank you all for the suggestions!
Some were overkill for what I'm looking for...just a tool to silently play along over headphones with my music library/steaming service from my phone. Amp modeling & EFX not required.
The Rolls PM351 looks like the exact thing I need. Reasonably priced, laid out clearly, looks sturdy. The only (minor) drawbacks are the accessory input is 1/4", but I guess I can find a TRS adapter to go from an 1/8' to 1/4" plug, and it's AC wall wart only (no battery power).
The Roland Go, though more than I require, looks very good too.
The Boss WAZA-Air Bass looks like a lot of fun but it's more than I want to spend.
Thanks again!
