when I'm in the studio my head goes on the floor or on a chair/ table near where i am playing the cab goes wherever the engineer wants it. that way no vibrations making the head rattle and i have easy control of my head without being near the mic/s on the cab. good medium hardness rubber feet on the bottom of my head do the job just fine for me in a live situation.
