Victor Wooten Talkbox Voice style effect...?

Ok, so the other day, i was watching a video of Mr. Wooten, astounding me as he always does, when about half way through, he steps up to the mic and, as far as i can tell starts going "doo doo doo doo doo doo" in time with the notes he's playing, which creates an amazing effect, that sounds as if the bass is playing through his voice, if that makes sense.

I can tell it's not a talkbox, there's no tube up the mic. I was just curious if the TBers had any idea how he made this effect?

PS. sorry i can't find the video on youtube or anything, otherwise i would post a link.

Danalectro makes a no wires talk box pedal ... haven't heard, don't know the sound quality ... +1 to the talker though, it was in his rig for the longest time ... plus, some bass effects rigs come with a kind of auto wah that you can select the vowel tones like a-as, e-es, and such

It's definitely a Digitech Talker which is more of a vocoder than a talk box. Rocktron makes a talk box called the Banshee, which you place in your chain of pedals, that has it's own 5W amp to push air into the tube. Then you just need another mic and obviously amplification for the mic and you're ready to rock.
