Hey guys! I just picked this up today. Initially, I laughed thinking it would be something pretty kool to tinker with, but when I plugged in to it, I was kind of surprised to hear how it mellowed out the lower frequencies, while eliminating the higher ones. AND WITH NO NOISE WHATSOEVER! Have any of you guys ever used, or heard of this particular booster? I got it for peanut shells, because the pot was scratchy. I just cleaned it with electronic parts cleaner. She seems to be working good now.

Kinda neat looking. What was the fad with the "plug" model like this back in the day? Just funny to me. Cool piece!

I'm guessing by that male plug and the size (3" x 2"), that it was supposed to plug directly into the guitar, then run your cable from it to your amp. That's what I did to test it. Can't do it any other way. But it's very light, so the weight of it isn't a factor.
