My Parents Bouqht Me This Bass And Ive Been Looking For It All Over The Internet And Have Had No Help ):
Hope Yu Guys Can Help Me
Got it for $200 And not sellinq it ever (;
My main questions are How much doea this baby go for?Price?Did i qett good deal?

You should post this in the Matsumoku forum. If legit, that headstock is pre 1976 (Gibson Lawsuit) with a high likelyhood of it being made in the Matsumoku factory. Later Greco and Ibanez were made at the FujiGen Gakki factory but who knows with this one. It looks Aria to me.

Does it say "Made in Japan" anywhere? What is the exact wording? Do you have a picture of the back, neck plate, etc.?

...if it is Matsumoku or FujiGen you got it for a steal.

I'd expect it to say MIJ somewhere but I could not say for sure if this is the case with mid-seventies or earlier. You may have to look under the pickups or take a pic of the wiring for a guru to give their opinion.

I will take a look at it and according to my research it is late 60s or early 70s since it has no serial number and since the Greco Sign looks like "Gneco" Im only 14 so I obviously can't take it up somewhere for a genius to look at it

I noticed the Gneco too. Yeah, late sixties, early seventies would be my guess too but I'm no expert. It's a knock-off of the Gibson EB-2 bass and Matsumoku made exact knock-off's like the Aria Diamond and the Univox Hi-Flyer bass. They also made exact copes of the Fender P Bass for Greco.

Thanks and yes but the later Greco basses and guitars had the Greco Logo witt an printed R not cursive

If its the real deal, as much as someone is willing to pay! Even if it's a Chinese fake it's still worth $200.

...it's your 1st bass and you are going to keep it anyway, regardless.

Actually Its my 2nd bass . On my 1st bass i got a killer deal on an phoenix by electra bass for $100 even thoee i have my phoenix in mexico either way those 2 basses are gnna stick witt me till the grave !

If you compare the hardware , I think you will find it is prety much the same.St.George and Greco were made side by side, in the same plant. This one was made between 1966 and 1969. This was the only time St. George Hollow body basses were made. I was told it was Matsomuko but have not found any proof. As far as worth, I think that is subjuctive. I f you are planning on keeping it, suffice it to say I've been offered 3 times new price for mine ,but they didn't sell for much new. Mine is Rosewood and maple .

Your 1st bass is an Electra Phoenix. If it's mid eighties or earlier it's another Matsumoku!

With all those pictures, you neglect the most important thing, value wise. Is it a set neck, or a bolt on? Probably a bolt on, but if it is a set neck, its worth more than 200$. A bolt on, 200$ is about right.
