Vintage ibanez sg bass

Hi,I found a vintage ibanez sg bass on local guitar site.The guys asking 200$ for it.He says it's a 1968 model.Is this bass worth anything,anyone have experiences with any old ibanez basses or especially this one?Would it fit in todays rock/metal tone with a orange tb 500?

That's the original white finish on the body? Either way... that's a keeper. Nice!
