Hello Everyone out there! I have recently had the opportunity to demo one of the prototypes from Vivid Amps. Vivid Amps is a relatively new company but make some great products. If you feel like finding out more give the video a watch. Regardless, watch out for vivid they are a great product and you will be seeing them around.

Nice job man...there's some actual low bass in the recording, what a concept! Link Removed

I got to play briefly through one of those at the recent Seattle TB GTG, with one of Marco's Fretgroove basses. Cool guys and great products.

Thanks Charlie. I probably met you briefly at the event, I was there with Dane and Marco. Thanks for posting and watching.

Spoke with the owner today. Great guy. They are tweaking the VP1500 amp and he told me they just got their patent on a line of super lite weight bass cabs. He said they have designed a 1 x 12 that weighs 13 lbs. and houses an Eminence neo. I will be exiting to see how their products evolve.

Curious about the cab, and how it will perform. That is a mighty feat to build a 13 pound cab. I have played a 112 with a tweeter that was 22 pounds. Could maybe get that down to 18-19 minus the tweeter, and using a different wood.... going lighter than that means they are up to something. Either good or bad, not saying either, just that this isnt common.

I actually have the prototype cabinets at my place in Denver right now. Just got them to test out and they are great so far. A couple different port configurations between the two and variable tweeter options. I will be posting a detailed review of the amp and cabinets once I get a chance to open them up a bit more. So far they are some of the lightest speakers I have ever had, especially the 15". I also have the 10" which I I,aging would be similar to the 12".

Dude I am pumped to hear what you have to say. Small niche oriented USA companies get me stoked so I am hoping this stuff rocks. Like I said I chatted with the owner yesterday and the small amplifier application for Harley's was quite interesting...especially after his son said..."hey Dad, think a guitar would sound good though one of these". They must be built well to withstand the rigors of being mounted to HD. I hope they knock it out of the park.

Regarding the cabs it was my understanding they must be using some type of composite material. He kept referring to taking wood out and replacing with lighter weight "foam". Perhaps some type of plastic????
