Vmod Jazz Bass questions

I purchased a 2018 American Pro I Jazz bass in November of 2018. Great bass, particularly love the neck

I’ve swapped through Fender, Daddario, and EB Slinky’s for rounds (pink bag probably my favorite)

Currently running EB Cobalt Flats

I don’t hate the pickups, obviously they’ve made it this long. But I was curious who is still using them, or what you switched too? If you switched, what did changing the pickups do differently for you?

Possibly no help whatsoever, I installed some of the Pure Vintage 62 pickups once and I thought those sounded really good and were reasonably priced.

Just a though here...I had a '64 Pbass that had '67 pickups which sounded bad to me. I ordered some Klein's from TX and installed them and the bass came to life. He's only got one option for Js. But if they are like my Precision pickups they would sound amazing.

Necro update

When I pulled this jazz bass apart for a refinish, the neck pickup had a broken wire

I replaced the pickups with some of the 74 fenders and a .047 cap
Absolutely not happy with that

But as the reading for those pickups is in the vintage range, I swapped out the .047 for a .022 and am much happier with that
