Volume/solo peddle?

I don't exactly need distortion or anything, I just need a peddle or a footswitch that I can activate and make me a bit louder, for solos and stuff. I can't find anything that gives me a slight volume boost instantly. I don't want distortion, wah, or anything. I just need something simple, but everything I see has all these extra features and settings and effects that I don't need nor want, and the prices are like 100 to 300 dollars. Isn't there something simple I can step on, play a solo, and be done?

Look into a basic boost pedal. Or get an overdrive & dial in just a slight clean volume boost. Bad Monkey comes to mind- $40 left & right.

An EQ pedal. Most are fairly transparent and most offer +12db of boost or more.

I tried it for a week and a gig. I didn't like it. Even at same volume when activated it gave an overdriven sound. I took it back. I may go with the EQ method. I want clean, transparent boost. I already have an overdrive effect (Sansamp).

yeah, boost pedal gets my vote.

The nicest one I've tried is the Link Removed, but it retails for $150 most places

Do a search for clean boosts on this forum and you should get a ton of descriptions.
