I'm looking to use a concentric volume volume pot set up on my fender american deluxe jazz, any reason why i should not?

No reason not to, make sure you get the right value & taper pot is all (I'm guessing 250K audios, but what's it got now?)
being that its active I'm getting the 500k version.......i don't know whats in it now.....
Ok, yeah, that's what I was wondering. Stick to the same, should be fine. I like concentrics, just have trouble finding them in all the flavors I'd like.
i hear ya. the question i have now is do i use a stereo 1/4 jack for my active fender amer deluxe? I'm also installing an active passive toggle, so should i use a mono or stereo 1/4 jack?
You want to wire the jack so that the preamp turns off when unplugged, or stereo signal, or both? They do sell "switched" versions of the output jacks to handle the preamp. What kind of jack does it have now? I think you've got multiple design questions jumbled together, maybe? I'm working through similar wiring issues with my black jack casady project (JC pickup plus piezos plus a pair of Novak BS/DS darkstars).
If your bass is active now, it has a stereo jack- just use the same one.
Do you mean active/passive or preamp bypass? True active/passive may 'pop' when the power is switched on or off.
