Voodoo Labs 2+ Question

I want to see if I can power the following pedals off this power supply:

  • Aguilar Agro
  • Hall of Fame Reverb
  • Line6 M5 (using a two-in-one Y cable into inputs 5 and 6)
  • Aguilar Tonehammer DI (another two-in-one Y cable somewhere?)
  • Markbass Compressore (using bonus outlet at back of the unit with existing wall wart)
  • Korg Pitchblack (optional, may use tuner on M5 instead)
I believe I can power the M5 in the above stated manner but I am wondering if I can power both the M5 and the Tonehammer DI.

Thanks,

The Line6 M5 is 18 volt and will require both the 250ma outputs. The Tonehammer is also 18 volt and is listed as 0.3A. Not sure if I can use two of the other outputs using a single Y cable to meet its need. If I am thinking correctly, 0.3 amps = 300ma. So I am not sure it would work with both the M5 and Tonehammer DI.

If all else fails I mount a power strip under my board and use the pp2 courtesy outlet to power 2 pedals that have requirements the pp2 can't fulfill. Its all mounted under my board. The right strip won't take up a lot of room, and if you can make your own then you can cut it to length... just a thought.

The Tonehammer only draws 7mA at 18V. So you would need a voltage doubling cable, but current draw is not an issue. The Line6 draws 350mA at 9V, so you would need a current doubling cable. So that PSU should have no problem powering those pedals. You may also be able to get away with a Cioks Schizophrenic Link or Big John Link.
