VST for an Ampeg B-15n

I'm curious what plugins you all like for an Ampeg B-15n.

I'm thinking about buying the Amplitube 5 Max ($350 currently). I play a little guitar and like the sound of their Fender models. And I actually like the demo of their B-15n. I just thought before I plunked down the cash I should look around to see if there's anything better. I run an iMac and LogicPro, but I think most things are compatible with that.

Is there anything you particularly like?

The Brainworx B15 is great. Ampeg B-15N

And if you use coupon code MEGA-SALE-20OFF, you can pick it up for $20 through tomorrow. Note: This will be on sale all the time. PA uses the "High MSRP, but huge discounts all the time" marketing plan. In general, it will be on sale for $40 anywhere from 5 to 10 times a year. If you wait for a $25 coupon, you can get it for $15. As a general rule, I don't pay more than $15 for anything from PA, because if I wait, I'll eventually be able to get it for $15. Having said that, at $20 it's still a good deal for a great plugin if you want something soon and don't want to wait.

This is the same product as the UAD branded B15 amp sim.

I know people love small buffers and low latency, but unless you need to live monitor the source from the DAW, I always use the biggest buffer. I just monitor from the hardware, so buffer size doesn't matter at all.

Same here. I run Logic which limits the buffer samples to 1,024 despite the fact that my converters will go up to 4,096 samples. If I could configure Logic to 4,096 samples I would.

QC and Kemper both deliver on the B15 front. If you have the I/O capability on your interface you can capture/profile the plugin itself. I have a 62 B-15N that I took the time to profile on my Kemper and I love those profiles. It's really amazing being able to go from my B15 to a SWR to a Darkglass with just a tap and have them all sound/feel convincing.

I have the Brainworks B15N and struggle with it. I play a 2013 Fender American Standard Precisions with flatwounds with Logic Pro and it's super bassy. I can tweak it pretty aggressively to get something kinda usable but it's not easy. Not sure what my problem is. People love it. I want to love it. I want something easy and inspiring.

Use the tight knob to get some lows out.

I think the Brainworx is better than the B15 models in the Axe fx or the QC.
