VT Bass - Unity level problems..

Easier way for me to deal with it is to adjust the level to a certain setting and then fine-tune the volume using my LS-2. By using the level on the VTB alone, as you guys have said, the slightest touch can make it too much or too little if the drive is up; the LS-2 fixes that (and I'm already using it for other stuff ie. blending, anyway).

for some reason the two times I've tried to use a VT bass at practice I've had to drop the volume knob almost off to nothing or I'd get a volume boost i did not want.. Kinda irritating... Made some settings with boosted "insert other knob label here" unusable for anything other then an "always on" pedal for me.. maybe it could have to do with how it interacts with my other pedals..?

That or how it interacts with your bass. If you use distortion, you do have to keep the volume knob low, but again, since it's a SS device not affecting the tone by volume level, it desn't matter on a sonic level to have the level control low.
