VT vs Bass Driver

Got a VT. Love it, but would like the direct out on the BDDI.
Are the sounds similar? I don't need the heavy over drive...like the fat tube/flip top sound.

These are my first effects pedals in many years...what took me so long?

You can have the VT modified (I think Mike Putnam does that) to add a DI. If you're happy with the VT otherwise, that might be the way to go. I don't think he charges a whole lot for the mod.
