Double Bass W.E.Dorfler

Hi everyone

Does anyone have experience with this bow or some of the same manufacturer? What do you think these bows? Comparisons with other bows, etc ...
I know there are bows stamped with Egidius Dorfler (top line), W.E Dorfler, W.Dorfler...
What do you think about bows with german silver?

Thank's a lot.

I have a Doerfler and like it. That is how it is stamped, no initial or name in front. It is on the lighter side but it has out played Upton shop bow, an IPE bow, and Finale, IMO. I am not sure what grade it is other than it is an older pernambuco bow.

Sorry I don't have any other information. Well balanced and pulls a nice sound compared to cheaper wood and carbon bows.

Mine's a student bow, I got it for $425 from Shank's Strings and it rips a huge sound out of my bass.

It gets directly into the string, as well. It doesn't pussyfoot around--when the bow goes to the string, as soon as you start pulling it'll dig in.

It's a big step up from my fiberglass. xD

It's a little heavier than my last bow or my backup bow, but so long as you don't push into the strings and just let the bow do it for you, it's a good investment.
