I would definitely have a natural syrup on mine. Not too big of a fan of sweets most of the time. Depends on my mood, or status of sobriety

Belgian, chocolate chips inside, with butter and real maple syrup, hot maple syrup. Bacon on the side is good, also covered with syrup.

If I want to go overboard I add berries and whipped cream on top of the afore mentioned mixture. Beautiful.

At home - cinnamon toaster waffles slathered with a heated mixture of chunky peanut butter, maple syrup & butter.

Going out - a restaraunt up in Boulder called "The Buff", where they serve "Saddlebag" pancakes stuffed with your choice of bacon, sausage or one of each, and they will do this with waffles on request.
Best. Waffles. Ever.

I like waffles, not so much syrup though. At least not the fake crap. I'll take a little bit of real maple syrup and a little bit of jelly. Or peanut butter and make a sammich.

Cream cheese is friggin tasty on it as well.

I used Invalid Link Removed recipe for the bacon, but substituted Chipotle for the Cayenne, and added chopped pecans. Sugared both sides and baked them on a wire cooling rack set over a sheet pan. totally worth the effort

by real waffles I mean something that doesn't come pre-packaged and frozen.
