Wah pedal difference?

Is there a difference in Crybaby Original and Crybaby Bass? Are they huge differences? I'm really budgeted, and I want a wah, but I don't know if Crybaby Original would be good for bass, since they make a bass version... but it's more expensive! Help.

Well, the bass version doesn't castrate your low end for starters.

Please don't buy the original crybaby bass pedal...it's God-awful IMO...get yourself a 105Q if your in the market for a Dunlop wah pedal.

if you would read, you'd see that he's telling you the crybaby sounds like shite. At least in my head, that = (bass)WILL NOT PASS(but mids and trouble.. err treble will)

You could by a regular crybaby off of ebay for dirt cheap and do some pretty simple mods to turn it into a bass wah.

try ARTEC APW3, 5, 7

they all have the option to sound as both crybaby the original and bass and many other wahs...

and its half cheaper new than any other wah out there... and it comes with a magnetic pot... so no scratchy pots and all that ****

I don't remember seeing any standard-to-bass conversion specific wah mods recently but surely there are pages of them out there....

Increase th .01 input cap to somewhere aound .22-.33 uf to compensate for the lowend loss. Change the .01 q capacitor depending on how deep you would like the sweep. All of the other standard wah mods would also apply if you are into tinkering a little with your sound.

plus isn't the way they work dif? the guitarist in my band has a norm crybaby wah but he has to stomp it on and of, where as the bass crybaby springs back and you can't leave it on with out your foot on it.

Normal crybabys are switch engaged and could be true bypassed also so it won't suck your tone.
