Wah Pedal help

Hey all,

I am looking around for a wah pedal. I play Bass a little guitar and a Rhodes. The wah pedal I am looking for is mostly for the rhodes but will ultimatly pull double duty and if I am really lucky triple duty. I am curious what some good options would be. It is difficult to haul a rhodes to music stores to try out wah pedals lol. Working with the roads is the main priority and i wasntr sure if a bass wah would go high enough to work with the high end of the keyboard as a guitar wah probably wont go low enough for the low end.

Any help would be appreciated.

You don't want a Dunlop wah then - IME, they'll always work better with one above the others.

The Morley Power Wah is my personal suggestion to you because of its very broad frequency sweep, although you may not necessarily like how it sounds on bass because it's very different than a conventional wah pedal.

The best Power Wah models I've worked with are the old chrome ones (including the Power Wah Boost and Power Wah Fuzz) and the current reissue Power Wah.

The Morley Dual Bass Wah is an option, too, since Morley claims it works well on detuned guitars. I'm not sure how well it'd work in standard tuning on a guitar, though, and I haven't tried one out on guitar (it's great on bass, though - very different than the Power Wah in sound).

If you haven't tried a Morley wah, they're definitely worth checking out at the very least.

The Real McCoy Custom 3 (RMC3) is the world's first (and only) fully tunable self-contained wah. Vari-Tune circuit controls include:

LOW-Controls the amount of low frequencies present in the wah's sweep.

MID-Controls the mid-range depth of the sweep. This control affects the vocal-like quality of the wah, as the human voice falls mostly into this range.

How hot is the output of the Rhodes? If it's sufficiently hot you run the very real risk of overdriving most wah pedals... unless you get a chrome Morley - the first stage runs at about 25VDC as opposed to the standard 9VDC = Lots more headroom.
