waiting on a bass (around the world)

i always over think everything which often makes me not buy anything at the end of my usual crazy research process so this time, unlike all the other past few times.. i just went straight upto the sire global website and ordered me the very last TBK (black) M3 bass they had while i was teaching a bass lesson and my "student" had to deal with a mock theory "exam" he had to fill up with ;)

anyway it took about a minute or two and i was suddenly short about 400USD in my bank and boom it was done. i had been thinking about having a second bass and a 4 string bass for a while and this appealed more to me than the usual cort and ibanez sr basses i find here and i had almost bought it many times before. anyway so first couple of days i keep seeing a bunch of updates on the tracking website but then suddenly no updates after it got on a flight to singapore! (go figure)

so i guess south korea to singapore to India?

well over 24 hours of no updates and now the weekend has come up so i do not expect anymore updates anymore especially if it has reached our shoes because the Indian post is all kinds of crazy and overloaded. anyway now am waiting on a bass, slightly sleep deprived and curious about how and when it is going to show up heh

i think i may not get it before end of next week! or if am lucky i get it by wednesday next week
i did not know there were so many m3 videos on youtube by now.. i just found some right now and the bass looks good but the audio and video clip quality is mostly really bad. i think am going to miss the single coil zing as this seems darker sounding! anyway i have not played or had a 4 string bass in a long long time now.. this will be interesting am already thinking about getting a vader 4 string if i like this.

so um.. what do you guys do while you wait on a bass that you are really looking forward to? my patience is going to run out on monday for sure :D

this will be very interesting though because my bass right now is ten times the value in the market, handmade and custom built for me with all kinds of specific things i asked for and this is going to be a standard budget but highly recommended bass! i think am going to dig it! but the wait is killing and hence this thread

I ordered mine from Europe and it took about 12 days for the delivery, if that is any help...

Anyway, definitely worth the wait, what a bass! Love it, even more than my V7s (I have 2). And they are a super bargain: you get a lot for your money...

Consider that I've seen quite a few times where shipping doesn't update at all and then it shows up sooner. Or still shows up on time but doesn't update tracking til it's in your town. Logistics can throw some curve balls your way. I wouldn't worry just enjoy your basses now til your new gf shows up lol

Here is the thing with international post: they tell you you can track your package from shipping place to destination but it is not true. My experience tells me you can track as long as the package is still in the origin country. Once it left, you can not anymore.

If you can not track your package since the 24th, I suspect it left the country of origin on that date. Considering duty clearance and at home delivery, I would say you are going to receive your bass this week.

Hope I am right :)

i am realizing that now.. there may not be any updates from my shore
but since last week was full of "public holidays" i was expecting it to start tracking once the weekend ended. in the past i have been able to track govt post articles on my destination tracking as well but intermittently!

IT LANDED UP!!
what a surprise, showed up in my city and cleared customs all within yesterday and i got it from my local post office today
i am getting it a nice setup but i have not slept in 36 hours now so i need to get that sorted first
but that said the M3 is an awesome bass! sounds and plays just great!! so far so good
the TBK finish is much better than i expected
will post pictures, maybe do a NBD thread since the M3's deserve some more love and chatter here ;)
