Wake up babe, new Warwick Rockbasses just dropped

Looks interesting - some quality improvements in the body contours and electronics, and new bronze-titanium frets with rounded ends for comfort. Plus, short and medium scale options.

I'd be interested in a Streamer if they ever do the full back contouring...

They have needed to do this for years and years…finally Asian made versions that don’t look like cheap copies.

I assume this is the efforts of son Nick, who is driving the bus now.

Not the fan of Warwick I once was, but it’s good to see them getting with it.

I like the one on the right, I forget that model name. The one on the left has that Gumby-esque bloated upper horn I don't care for the looks of. Probably a great bass too though.

This is great news, Warwick might be my next bass. I had an older Corvette Rockbass with the 1 piece bridge and it was great but I got rid of it a few years back. Miss the tone from those MEC pickups.

I feel like ever since the Rockbass line started... in the beginning, the Rockbass line was pretty rough, but it's been steadily improving over the last 20 or so years. Over time we've seen features from the German models trickle down to the Rockbass line and continue to do so.

Even looking at recent videos showing people comparing the newer Rockbasses with comparable German-made models... the Rockbasses are pretty legit and not the "cheapie" line it felt like back in the early days.

If I were to go for a Rockbass, I'd go for a Fortress or Vampyre.

I've always sort of eyed the Warwick 8-string. Current Rockbasses are of great quality, and the MEC pickups (same as in their MIG basses) give a great bang for the buck. I just can't get past how it looks.

+1 on Warwick's website being terrible. It's everything that was wrong with the "frames" type websites from the 90s.

And, yeah, I can see why some folks are iffy on RockBass since they remember the 2000s when the weren't that good, but I also remember 1986 when Hyundais were tin cans but 20 years later became one of the most reliable cars on the road.

I'm glad to see the RockBass line continuing to improve and become closer to the German line.
