Walking bass examples in pop/rock?

Hi all,

I am trying to learn walking bass at the moment as I would like to know how to play and move between chords on the bass.

The only thing is I don't really like jazz music that much (no offence meant, there is so much skill in jazz and they are great players but I am a rocker at heart :) )

Please can you provide me with some examples of pop and rock songs with walking type bass lines so I can hear how they are played in that style?

I've read that sir Paul uses walkin lines in some Beatles songs, which ones would they be?

Cheers

I have not really warmed up to jazz either however, a great book for the general (and jazz) application of walking lines is Ed Friedland's "Building Walking Bass Lines" with CD. Kinda old school as its written in 100% notation (No TAB - No where) and about half of the exercises require transcribing to various keys - Lots of listening and pencil work but very well worth it.

I Wish - Stevie Wonder. He mostly plays two different Electric Piano chords in the verses but sounds like more as they hit with different Bass notes.

People are Strange - The Doors. Simple shuffle feel pattern.
