I thought some here might like to check this out.

Steven Mooney of constructingwalkingjazzbasslines.com published a Walking Bass Workshop Course on Udemy. It's a very nice overview of walking bass concepts explained very clearly in easy to digest bites. Each section has his explanations and then demonstration of the written lines. Each section also allows you to download the lesson in PDF format.

I like the Udemy courses. I'm a big Udemy user. I have dozens of courses there. I enjoy the video+PDF combination instead of just a static book.

If you ever wanted an effective, easy to digest entry into walking, this is a well thought out, enjoyable tour.

I just listened to the preview and honestly I don't get the MIDI bass examples with a synthetic upright sound and feel. The same goes for the drums track....

One of the most important part of the walking bass is to get the sound and the feel. You won't get that with those videos....Playing the right notes is only half the job in my book(!)

    Sorry...

Steven has a Part II Udemy course on Jazz Bass:

    1. Walking Bass Workshop Pt I - The Blues: Walking Bass Workshop Pt I - The Blues

    2. Walking Bass Workshop Pt II - Rhythm Changes: Walking Bass Workshop Pt II - Rhythm Changes

Steven has a body of really good books, videos, downloadable tracks, and Udemy courses for jazz bass.

Unlike other authors, he also supports the materials with friendly answers to questions - and the ability to take other lessons.

    I really like these materials.
