Walnut/Maple/Bubinga guitar build

you can make a nice pen with the scrap///...

I turned this pen with some of the Bubinga scraps.

I also turned a ballpoint twist pen out of some of the Walnut sapwood, and I cut up a few pen blanks that will hopefully turn down into heart/sap mixes.

I'm done with the Tung Oil finish, and now just waiting another day for it to finish curing before I wax it (As per the instructions on the can.), but I've assembled the finished body and neck for the first time today, to get pics.:hyper:

In hindsight, I didn't use the best Walnut. I'm not a big fan of the greenish areas, and it probably wasn't fully dried, but overall, this came out great for a first build.
Next I'll have to scratchbuild a neck.:hyper:

As a side note, the sapwood stripe down one side of the trem cavity will be hidden by a spring, to keep a symmetrical look.

it is very nice, the wood work is very nice and clean and that top is amazing. When are you building a bass though, because this is not Talkguitar :hiding:

Eventually I'm going to do a one-piece Padauk body with a Wenge/Ebony neck and a single soapbar or MM in the sweet spot. Perhaps something of a modernized Jazz bass shape.

Hi Line6Man,just wondering what kind of wax did you use for the finish? :D
Clear Briwax.
