Wampler Euphoria or Solid Gold FX Beta?

Hi guys, Need a push in one direction or the other concerning these two overdrives. I know what I want as far as tone but have not any hands on with either. Saw the videos on each and still undecided. Looking for a touch of hair, responds to playing dynamics and is very low gain. I play mostly funk/rb and occasionally classic rock. I have not ruled out the sfx micro red dragon but would have to wait for it to be shipped from England. Suggestions?

There is a Euphoria in the classifieds for $150...may even be less.

For the same price you can also get a Fuzzrocious Dark Driving, which would be my choice.

IMO, the euphoria is a much more versatile pedal and it's still one of my top 10 favorites out of the 250 overdrives that I own.

I only have room for one dirt pedal on my board & my other dirt pedal wins at the moment & I'm gassing for some other stuff

It "is" a very versatile pedal.

I only have room for one OD on my pedal board and I don't want to go down the rabbit hole trying and not liking what I've purchased. Given JohnK has literally hundreds of OD/distortion pedals makes me wonder how far down that rabbit hole really goes.

Thanx John, I know you haven't reviewed the Solid Gold FX Beta and I hold your OD experiences' with the highest regard. Just wish I had 1 or 2 TB'ers that have tried it first. I believe one will get theirs tomorrow.

I might just get both and climb a little into the rabbit hole. One pedal to stick in my guitar soft case pocket and the other for my pedal board. "Seek and ye shall go broke."

If you like your sound, but just want to add some low-gain hair, the Euphoria works beautifully. Unlike a lot of other OD's, it's not a heavily-colored pedal. I tried to describe its character in my listing, but please feel free to PM me if you'd like any more info.

Zero Overdrive slightly distorted tube overdrive sounds up to punk - no problem for the GAS-808B LDP!
