Want to upgrade bridge, Squier Jazz V

So I have this Squier Parts bass made of an Affinty JV body and VMJV neck, modded with a MM bridge pickup, 2-band SD Blackout preamp and passive tone control.

The stock Affinity bridge does its job, but is junk in my opinion. I want is upgrade to a high-mass, but not sure which to get. This bass is a "Beater" mind you, so I want to go as economical as possible...it's not worth a Hipshot...

I'm looking at either one of those Omega BadAss copies or a vintage-style high mass from WD. Both the same price (about $50).
Any experience with the Omega?

A functional bridge doesn't need to be changed unless you want something out of it that it can't provide but another bridge can. Another bridge can offer more adjustability. Another bridge can look better if you think your bridge is ugly. Another bridge isn't going to make your bass sound better unless there's something functionally wrong with the original.

Yeah...I want it to not fall out of whack when I change strings and need to readjust string height, and at times, intonation....

No one has to try and justify to me why I shouldn't do something.
I didn't ask whether or not I should change it. I asked if anyone has any experience with the Omega bridge.
I've been playing a long time, and have been dealing with shortcomings of cheap hardware for a long time. I know when a piece of hardware is junk and when it is suitable.
The bridge is junk. The tuning machines are suitable...no need to change them.

If you play in low action, forget the himass bridge which most come with thicker bottom plate. Hopehelp

I've not had this problem using a badassII bridge on precision or jazz basses. I can get the strings on the frets just about.

I'm thinking this might depend on the bass.

I have a Badass II on my previous 2007 MIM jazz bass and stock himass bridge on my all Squier CV 60P,50P and 60J.
I set .010 neck relief and the lowest action (measure on 17th fret ) i can go for G string is more than 2mm. My favorite action is 1.5mm on G to 2mm on E.
Neck Shim is good advise but replace with the Fender Vintage thread saddle bridge do a great job with no lacking sustain issue and saddle hold the level nicely.

You will have a very hard (impossible?) time locating a bridge that is a match for a Squire VM 5 Jazz. But, it's 18 mm spacing. Just use dowel to fill the existing holes and drill new holes for the new bridge. Be sure the saddles on the new bass are in approximately the same location as the original saddles. If not, you won't be able to intonate the bass.

Doing the actual bridge replacement, even one that does not have matching mounting holes, is no big deal for me. I have successfully done it quite a few times on quite a few different basses.

I was just asking if anyone has experience with one particular bridge that is relatively new on the market.

I wound up getting the AllParts bridge posted by YahBoy above, for $20. I will be getting it in my hands tomorrow and hopefully get the swap done shortly thereafter.
