Wanting a Fretless.

I've been wanting to pick up a fretless for awhile now. After researching and visiting various local music stores, I've decided that I want to go for either a lower end Fender (probably MIM) or a Squier VM Fretless. Of course I need to test both out, but I want to hear from you guys, as well as what would happen if I sold my '09 Ibanez SR300 to go towards the fretless. I'm only 15 and there's really no steady income for me. And the SR300 is my cheapest bass, as well as the least played. What would I expect to receive if I sold it to Samash or GC? Thanks guys.

I have a beautiful 70's American J fretless. If it got stolen I'd go out the next day and buy a Squier. They're great.
